Volt Ireland at the GA in Prague

On October 7-8, Marcus, Artur and Tobias of the leadership team of Volt Ireland went to Prague to attend this year’s autumn General Assembly of Volt Europa. It was amazing to see more than 800 Volt members from all over Europe to meet for one weekend and discuss the future of the party and of European politics.

A big part of the agenda was to lay the groundwork for our next main political priority: the European Elections in 2024. Volt wants to run in as many countries as possible with the clear aim to improve our results from 3 years ago and to work towards our goal of forming our own faction in the European Parliament.

But of course the GA was not only about politics. At least just as important was the social aspect. Spending a weekend with so many different people from all over Europe is not only a lot of fun but also a great booster for the motivation and passion we hold for the entire Pan-European project that is Volt.

Taking part in this event, we were met with excitement by other chapters who were delighted to meet members of Volt Ireland. It became clear that Ireland can have a strong voice within Volt and to shape the movement.

If you want to get actively involved in our chapter, please reach out to us. We’d love to have you on board and to engage in this journey to shape Irish society and Irish politics.
